Si Matta (he/they) is a writer, oral historian, and archivist whose work explores the intersections of place, memory, and resilience. His essays, poems, and stories appear in Beyond the Margins | Oregon Humanities, ocetisakwowin.org, and is presently enrolled in the Creative Writing Program at Institute of American Indian Art in Sante Fe, NM . Recipient of honors such as the Dean’s List and the IAIA American Indian College Fund (AICF)-Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCU) General Fund Scholarship. Matta is dedicated to gathering and sharing overlooked voices from the American West. Through gatheringthestories.org, he curates personal and communal histories, inviting readers to listen deeply to the land and its people.
